Is "Israel" a Kalanga language phrase "Isi Ra, El" or a Sumerian language phrase "I-sira El"?
First let us note that in both languages the word "El" means "god Enlil" and it is pronounced as "Ilo". Let us also note that ancient Sumerian language has undergone changes to become several languages - Coptic, Arabic, Sotho, Tswana. In this piece I refer to the Sumerian language as Tswana.
The Kalanga phrase "Isi Ra, El" means "Not Ra, but Enlil". The Tswana phrase "I-sira El" means "It protects Enlil". I believe that the origin of the word "Israel" is the Kalanga phrase. Some wriiters including Zecharia Sitchin, I am told, hold that "Israel" originates from the Tswana phrase. They say that "protection of the god Enlil" means protection of the ancient space port in Sinai peninsula against capture by the forces of the Egyptian god Marduk. This protection was provided by lower Egypt after its capture by Hebrew General Abraham who had been sent on the mission by the god Enlil, they assert. Therefore according to them Lower Egypt became "Israel".
There are a few problems with the above (Tswana) viewpoint. The first is why the "protection" to the space port would have been considered as coming only from the south when there were other tribes/nations threatenning it from the north. Secondly, when General Abraham conquered lower Egypt, the god Marduk was consolidating his power far to the north of the Sinai space port. Not only was the god Enlil aware of Marduk's absence from Egypt, but he had actually planned it! In my view the Tswana position is not only wrong but extremely dangerous. It seeks to associate the origin of the name "Israel" with Abraham and the Hyksos. It seeks to justify Zionist usurpation of Palestinian rights to their lands in the occupied territoties.

The phrase "Not Ra, but Enlil" was the slogan, the motto, the battle cry if you will, of supporters of Enlil in the period leading to the first Pyramid War. This was long before the birth of Abraham. Supporters of Enlil, just like those of Ra, were not confined to any particular tribe or ethnic group. Therefore Israelites were not one contiguous nation. They were a political/religious party cutting across many tribes, all united by their support for the god Enlil/Jehova.
Tyhe conquest of lower Egypt by the Hebrew General Abraham, an emissary of the god Enlil/Jehova, brought northern Egypt under direct military control of an Israelite. Lower (Northern) Egypt did not become "Israel"; it only fell under the control of Israelites.
